Dental Bridges

Dental bridges are used to replace one or more missing teeth. All teeth play an important role in speaking, chewing, and maintaining proper alignment, so missing teeth should be replaced to preserve oral function and facial structure.

A bridge, also called a fixed partial denture, fills the space where teeth are missing. Fixed bridges are cemented into place and can only be removed by a dental professional. Removable partial dentures can be taken out by the patient.

Bridges help restore chewing ability, support proper speech, and maintain the shape of the lips and cheeks. Missing teeth can place unusual stress on the gums and surrounding tissues, increase the risk of gum disease, and cause other teeth to shift.

A bridge uses artificial teeth attached to adjacent natural teeth, called abutment teeth. Fixed bridges may be attached by placing crowns on the adjacent teeth or by bonding the artificial teeth directly to the supporting teeth.

The process usually takes a few appointments. The teeth on either side of the gap are prepared, impressions are taken, and the bridge is fabricated to match the bite and surrounding teeth. Once completed, the bridge is fitted and secured to restore function and appearance.

Tooth-Colored Fillings

Tooth-colored fillings are used to repair teeth affected by cavities, minor fractures, or damaged existing fillings while maintaining a natural appearance.

Unlike traditional silver-colored fillings, tooth-colored composite restorations are designed to blend with the surrounding tooth structure. This makes them a strong option for patients who want treatment that restores health without drawing attention to the restoration.

The damaged or decayed portion of the tooth is carefully removed, and the filling material is shaped and bonded to the tooth. The restoration helps rebuild the tooth’s structure while preserving as much healthy tooth as possible.

Tooth-colored fillings are a conservative restorative solution that supports both function and aesthetics. They can help restore comfort, protect the tooth from further damage, and maintain a natural-looking smile.
